STORIES OF

Challenge:

The current cancer narrative is mainly focused on the disease, and its detection, diagnosis, symptoms, and treatment (which of course has its place), or on stories of reoccurrence and/or death. The stigma or hopelessness after you or a loved one receive a cancer diagnosis, or fear of it coming back once in remission, can be detrimental to our health and situation.

Our Solution:

Storytelling is powerful.

It is through stories that we find hope, connection, empathy and inspiration.

Hope after Cancer’s aim is to inspire people to thrive after cancer.

We want to focus more on hopeful stories, so those who have/had/will have cancer don’t get stuck in the present, keep re-living the past, or are fearful of the future.  There are so many people out there who have directly or indirectly (either through family or friends) been affected by cancer.

We are reaching out to you to tell your story to support others who have been in your situation. Each person’s story is different, but with real life inspiration from others, there is an additional light. We can learn so much from each other.

And how is this different to other platforms, I hear you ask!

We focus on the person and not the disease. No details needed about the cancer, treatment...let's focus on now and not the past.
